Hollywood set to storm mobile gaming space

The Economic Times is reporting that after setting new box office records at Indian multiplexes, Hollywood is now all set to seize a share of the country’s mobile gaming industry. In a first of its kind, has signed an agreement with to localise and distribute its branded mobile and interactive content in the Indian market.

The mobile gaming industry in India is currently worth around Rs 90 crore per annum. It’s casual games, followed by Bollywood and Hollywood, which have the largest share in the pie.

is part of global entertainment company, Paramount Pictures Corporation, which has produced blockbusters such as Titanic, Braveheart, Forrest Gump and the hugely successful Mission Impossible series. The agreement will allow to provide services such as mobile games besides themed logos, polyphonic ring-tones, animated wallpaper screens, video clips, and applications, among others to be based upon Paramount’s catalogue.

The two companies will also work together to execute synergy promotions in the new media space for previous catalogue titles as well as for up coming releases.
