TVU Networks hits 3.5m monthly uniques
TVU Networks, a global service for live Internet TV, today announced a milestone in reaching 3.5 million monthly unique viewers. The TVU service is accessed via a free application, TVUPlayer, which to date has been downloaded 12 million times by viewers in over 200 countries. TVU Viewers watch live TV programs from around the world, including mainstream programs not broadcast on current cable and satellite services, as well as niche programming content currently available only by subscription or on private networks.

Unlike typical Internet video services that use older video streaming technologies, TVU offers broadcasters and publishers a way to reach global audiences without incurring the prohibitive costs associated with these traditional content distribution methods, such as bandwidth and server costs.
