Packaged goods giant Mars will become the first advertiser to sell actual products on Facebook, a move aimed at building the commercial credentials of the social network. The deal follows the recent backlash around the launch of Facebook’s Beacon, an advertising platform that allowed brands to pump ads without user consent. Facebook was forced to change the service to include an opt-in element.
This will be the first time that users on Facebook will be able to purchase actual and not “just virtual” products.
The applications will launch on Valentine’s Day. Called Celebrate, the service will enable users to buy actual Mars gifts which can be redeemed at participating stores through the use of a scanable, unique mobile voucher ID.

New media pioneer Scott Bourne and Podango Productions today announced the launch of “The Game Council,” a new 30-minute podcast for gamers featuring the latest video game news and reviews.
Hosted by game chick Maria Bernal-Silva and game guy Gregory Martin, the 30-minute show will air tri-monthly, on the 1st, 10th and 20th of every month, on the Podango Network (http://podango.com).
“We see Game Council hosts Maria and Gregory as the Ebert and Roper of video games,” said Executive Producer Scott Bourne. “There’s a huge gamer market out there and Maria and Gregory are pumped to party with them thrice monthly.”
Because Maria’s and Greg’s tastes in games are completely different, the show will be funny and provocative. Maria favors console-based, intellectually challenging games like puzzles, treasure hunts, narrative spy games and brain benders. Greg enjoys playing adrenaline-based action games with exploding faces, decapitation and creatures of the night that sneak up on you in the middle of game play.

A smattering of government funded small business organisations; a scaffolding company, a few engineering companies, and several ‘craps‘ of marketeers made for a diverse but enthusiastic audience.
If Arnold Schwarzenegger grabbed you by the throat and ordered you to write down a list of the worlds most influential people, there are so many ‘tech celebs’ you would forget, but chances are [Read more]

I don’ know about you but desparately thin women just turn me off. You see them in the magazines and on the TV fashion cat-walk clips, weird designs hanging off walking skeletons. Does absolutely nothing for me other than a twinge of sadness that these women feel it necessary to starve themselves in the name of Fashion. Damn good meal , that’s what they need.
Sure facially and with tons of make-up models are pretty. But when you look at the whole package I still wouldn’t want to take one home for sex. Think of the risks. First of all if you hold her too tight she may snap in two - lay on top of her and you risk [Read more]
