Bunchball launches cross-network games for Bebo

, a web services company dedicated to making websites more addictive, is deploying its Games & Avatars application on global Social Media Network as part of the Open Application Platform, launched today at a private event in San Francisco. has announced that it will open its API to third-party developers to integrate their applications with the site.

Today’s announcement marks the first time users from different social networks can connect and interact through a common application — Games & Avatars. Members can then redeem their Karma Points in ’s virtual economy by purchasing digital goods to customize their avatar and virtual room, paying their way into tournaments and poker games, and more.

Rather than being limited to just the community, has connected their Games & Avatars deployment to all the other social networks that services. members will be able to seamlessly play, compete and interact with members of the other networks and participate in a cross-network virtual economy.

The Games & Avatars application is 100% powered by ’s Nitro product: a suite of hosted services that drive user behavior and increase engagement on websites. One week to Hulu

Its one week to go to the launch of , the joint venture of General Electric’s Universal and Rupert Murdoch’s . is a free, advertising-supported video download service which will also feature shows from Television and Studios Inc.

Potentially an iTunes video killer, on Monday, will open a private Beta test and offer about 90 TV shows from the four companies and smaller partners ranging from current prime-time hits such as “Heroes” and “The Simpsons” to vintage shows “Miami Vice” and “The A-Team”. It will also make about 10 feature films available including “The Breakfast Club” and “The Blues Brothers.”
Shortly after the test begins, these shows will also be made available on a handful of the biggest online distributors Time Warner Inc’s AOL, Comcast Corp, Microsoft’s MSN and Yahoo.
