I often wonder why with millions of people contributing to the rich tapestry of the web, it is full of so much shod. There must be some artistic and creative people somewhere who can produce something marginally interesting (and not necessarily based on a tech genre!). As I surf the web it feels like I am travelling on the Paris metro, wandering endlessly from station to station, looking for something interesting whilst above me is the Louvre.
But as time marches on web technology is getting smarter, and tools are now available for the creative types to put together some interesting content for all to see without having to have a degree in software sciences. As the user generated stuff gets better the film studios and tv networks are getting spooked and are realizing that they need to place a stake in the web world to get their own content seen.
